Joseph Halpin

Hi there!

I'm JP Halpin, from Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati's DAAP program in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design. I am a minimalistic designer with a background in accessories / soft goods with a passion for sport and outdoors.

I currently live in Providence, RI designing gear for Acushnet Golf Brands. I am working on product for Titleist Golf Gear, Club Glove, and Links & Kings. An average day can look like sketching, prototyping / 3D modeling, sourcing materials, or creating tech packs for the previously mentioned brands. The gear I have been designing varies from golf bags, luggage, duffel bags / packs, headwear, accessories, and SMU's. My projects will be coming out soon, come back to see some of the new Acushnet gear coming to the market.

Previously, I worked for Cobra Puma Golf in San Diego, CA. My role ranged from designing a new luggage line for Cobra to helping design footwear and apparel for Puma Golf. One of the more exciting bits within my past role was designing bags for Cobra and Puma tour-branded athletes for the 2023-2024 PGA seasons - which can be seen on the "On Tour" tab above.

I want to continue learning, problem-solving, and honing my design/development skills in soft goods, with a focus on the gear, bags, and footwear space. When I am not in the studio working, I'm trying a new food, working on my golf game, or out walking!
